Rooted Spirit’s offerings are a co-creation with Nature and Spirit, weaving in the Indigenous medicine teachings of the Earth. Crafted in ceremony with the sacred Directions, elements, and plant Spirits, these offerings are created with the highest intentions and reverence. All the herbs offered are either wild harvested (with permission from the plants), organically grown (with willingness from the plants) or sourced from organic sustainable farmers

Philosophy on Medicine (please read*)

You will notice Rooted Spirit does not offer a wide variety of medicine. Here's why: Rooted Spirit moves with the philosophy that every being is unique, with unique needs. Additionally, instead of taking an allopathic approach to herbal medicine (stopping the symptom) we care about the deeper reasons why your symptoms are manifesting (the root). We believe in simple, constitutionally, emotionally and spiritually appropriate medicine. We love sharing medicine that connect with your ancestry as well as your bio-region, as much as possible. We strive to offer you support that is mindful of over-harvesting practices, endangered species/on the watch list and preserving the populations of our plant relatives. We care about the process of how the medicine was harvested, the process it is creating within your body and the Spirit/Consciousness of the plant. The best way we can optimally support you is through custom herbal blends and herbal/flower essence consultations where we can offer transformative support that is healthy for you. Given the season and amount of growth, with privates we are often able to harvest the medicine specifically for you (if the plants give us permission, of course). To us, the Medicine Woman ways involve being a bridge for the plant and human tribes, we find profound healing comes from a co-creation of medicine (where the plants are aware of who the medicine is for, why and have agreed to support you specifically). Of course, please check in with your health professional prior to taking herbal remedies, especially if you are on medication, breastfeeding or pregnant

 

Sustainability

To offset the contribution to consumerism, the shipping packages are reused boxes/materials, all product labels are biodegradable, business cards are printed on Seed paper and each purchase there is a seed planted to help restore plant populations.
